Xlibris Book Reviews: Shadows Over Sheradan by Scott Barker

Imminent Battle Beyond Space and Time Looms Within New Book

After nearly three decades of painstakingly developing his plot, author Scott Barker finally publishes an unforgettable saga of epic proportions

RUSSELL, Ontario, Canada (PRWEB) March 05, 2013

An idea. How powerful and potent it is. That’s all author-educator Scott Barker needed to embark on a three-decade journey of developing a plot upon which his great saga would unfold. He has accomplished what he had set out to do and transformed that idea into an unforgettable tale. Now, readers can totally immerse themselves in an enthralling epic fantasy adventure in Barker’s newly published book, titled Shadows Over Sheradan.

The saga begins when Prince Trigarius pursues Izzasha the Betrayer beyond the safe limits of the crystal rings of Zalaghorn aboard his flying cloudship. His elusive quarry’s trail leads to an abandoned sky galleon about to be swallowed by a violent storm. Slammed into an asteroid, the team stumbles upon an ancient site that is part of something far greater than they could possibly imagine. Before they realize what is happening, a deadly enemy from a long-forgotten time is accidentally unleashed.

Readers will get to meet four main characters. Count Alastair Snowmantle is the self-assured and wise human being who conjures magic. Master Arakos is the cunning blood descendant of a dragon in self-exile. Lady Taeio is the youthful, yet unmistakably battled-tested Solarin (astral elf) ranger who carries a sparkling bow made of pure silver. Finally, Prince Trigarius is a human knight who is the powerfully charismatic and absolutely fearless leader of the group. Together, they must stop the shadows in time or lose Sheradan forever.

Brilliantly crafted with a host of intriguing characters, engaging narratives, breathtaking action and a tinge of romance, Shadows Over Sheradan is a saga that grips science fiction and fantasy readers from beginning to end. Barker’s idea has finally taken its shape; and it is one that will be remembered for several decades to come.
